Born to Ranjit Sitaram Pandit, a celebrated barrister from Kathiawad , Nayantara Sahgal lost her father at a very young age. She and her sister Chandralekha were studying abroad when her father died in the prison. With the entire struggle, she completed her graduated from Woodstock School and Wellesley College in 1947.
A member of the first family of Indian politics, Nayantara is one of the renowned authors.
