Ghalib: Flowers in a Mirror
by Mehr Afshan Farooqui Mehr Afshan Farooqui | 31 January 2024

About the Book

In Ghalib: Flowers in a Mirror, Mehr Afshan Farooqi Continues in the strain of her first book, A Wilderness at My Doorstep, to explore Ghalib’s approach to his work, the world in which he lived and composed,  and, ultimately, his genius. She carefully selected thirty ghazals from the rejected corpus, translated them into English and provided a sparkling critical commentary. Through this book, she highlights the significance of marginalised poetry and the need to reinstate it in our lives and hearts.
